In The Zone.

I was asked yesterday if I was in the zone… Thankfully for once I was able to reply “oh yes” (in the voice of Churchill lol).
I,d just got back from walking the dogs, and I had really pushed myself and was on an exercise high. It felt lovely, my arms and legs were tingling, I was out of breath for a reason, not just because I had bent over to do my boots up. Ok I had only walked a mile, and it took me just under 30mins. There are however a couple of hills (ok slopes), and I pushed myself up them faster than usual.

I,m really enjoying the feelings I get from my body when I do push it now, I feel a little more energised from it. My mind is a bit more alert, and I didn’t go into my
usual afternoon surfing the net lull.
Instead I had an apple and went out to yard, where I not only groomed NAS but also lunged him. Yay!

What I,m not missing is the aches and pains, I,ve told you about my back/hip problem that seems to of eased off, my hands no longer tingle and feel all puffy and numb. My feet are still a hindrance but not a crippling one. I still struggle with walking in the mud, I put this down to no core strength, or real strength in my
legs, they,ve only been used to being sedentary supports for the last few years.

So last night to stop myself munching (I had a few cheese straws) When I came in, I knew if I hung around the kitchen I would eat a lot more. So I decided to head upstairs And do my 6min shake a weight DVD, i then did 40 squats before I collapsed and some stomach crunches. Tonight I,m going to take a Pilates DVD upstairs and try some of that.

Does anyone know of any good exercise apps?

We have friends over for dinner tonight (macaroni cheese, my mum stylee). So all day I have been chanting to myself no second helpings. I,ll let you know if it works tomorrow.
