Hah I’ve just noticed weigh and neigh are similar. So I was naïve to think that once the holidays were over life would get some kind of routine again. It’s almost like all my organising and sorting out before the summer holidays was a complete waste of time and I’ve had to start again. Even the boys shed we sorted out in the holidays is now just a dumping ground for all the random toys I keep finding in the hay barn.
Still I’m getting there slowly, wouldn’t be so bad if my fitness wasn’t at an all-time low. Really not sure how I’m going to cope with mucking out again next week. I’ve been desperate to get the horses in over the past week or so the weather has been crap. I bought them in to just have a break from the rain and fill up on hay; poor spirits stable is full of junk so she had to go in the hay barn. Which you would of thought she had died and gone to heaven.
Oh no as much hay as the eye can see is not good enough for a Shetland she wanted the apples so quickly escaped and setting off the other two who’d had enough of been in apparently. Surprisingly though I think Paris would have been quite happy to stay in. it was Nas who was barging at the door to get out. Although I think that is all part of his I’m still pissed at you mood. He’s really not happy with me, one for making him live out all summer and more so because now there’s another one to take some of my attention.
I’ve been holding out getting them in because I’ve been waiting on some rubber mats (they finally arrived this morning) I’ve hated seeing Nas standing on concrete for the last couple of years, before that all his stables had rubber mats. I’m sure it didn’t help his lameness earlier in the year, so I’ve been holding out getting them in. on another plus note I have found somewhere that stocks hunter wood shavings. It’s still 40miles away but if I combine it with when I take Steve to the station it’s not that bad.
It will be worth it knowing he is on the best bedding for his breathing. So yeah even though the mucking out is going to come as a bit of a shock, I really can’t wait for next week.
Diet wise eugh I was on the ball and then I dropped it for a few days earlier this week. There was a saga getting the mats the weather was horrendous and I just felt bad –typically it has taken another U-turn and we’re due a weekend of nice weather- still the damage is done now and I’m trying to pick up the pieces again. Once I start mucking out again I’m sure that will knock a few pound off.
