This was Nas this morning when I came out to give him breakfast. Its definitely the perkiest I’ve seen him recently, his tail was up and his head slightly higher.

Also the picture doesn’t show it but his eyes were brighter. This might be just because the weather was nicer last night. I’m hoping though its more to do with him feeling better.

I poo picked 4 barrow loads over the course of the day! Yes I’m bad I know, boy was it nice not to have to muck out the last couple of days. Anyhow what I was going to say is in that time I didn’t hear him cough once.

Add that to him looking a bit brighter, I’m hopeful that it was an infection that has now been knocked out by the antibiotics.
Although it could still well be more allergy related.

Since being out the snotty nose has gone though which is good. I did sit with him earlier when he was munching grass though and he did make a couple of sounds, defo not a cough.

After reading back on some of my old posts, I mention nas coughing last march when lunging. Which has put my mind at rest because I had convinced myself he’d never coughed before I started riding him.

And the I think omg! Is it me have I hurt him. But it seems he’s always been a bit of a cougher. just not like he was the night I called the vet out.

I’m going to lunge him in next few days and see how he is with being exercised. I’m sure he would love the attention. Bless him.
