Not sure where to begin with this post… First off I should point out I was still eating like a horse, grazing and snacking on lots of treats. Also very lethargic and bloated this can only mean one thing. Yep it’s that time of the month again. Argh! (Well not quite, but I know it’s due).

Add to that everything I’ve done this week has aggravated my back, so much so It spread across to the whole of my lower back. It feels very tender and when I get into bed it really kicks in. I’ve been taking the painkillers and just hoping that a weekend relaxing away will give it time to heal.

This has put a bit of a stop to any real walking in the last week which is frustrating seeing as I wanted to get my fitness levels up ready for the run in a couple of weeks. Also if it is time of the month when I’m due to do the run then there is no way I am going to be able to do it. I don’t really want to go into details here, but I’m sure most of you will understand why. I have actually genuinely got my fingers crossed it comes before then.

I woke up this morning giving my scales the ‘death stare’ they are still showing the wrong time, ok I didn’t really expect any less seeing as I haven’t actually touched them. But still if they are saying the wrong time then it stands to reason they will also show the wrong weight… Surely! I will have a fiddle today and if nothing changes then I think I will have to bite the bullet and buy some new ones.

I have decided though that I am not going to weigh myself until after the run (that is if I do it). That will be Monday 11th July omg! Where has the time gone? I’m also trying to get my head into diet gear even with the weekend coming up. Well it’s my kind of diet at least. I’m going back to eating 2meals 1treat. That’s it until I have weighed, by then hopefully I will be in a place to start cutting that down to healthier snacks. But right now I am going to eat what I want.

I know just giving up the snacks really helps me, even if I do have a big slab of carrot cake mid-afternoon I can still lose weight. This reminds me I must pack the mints… I might try some sweet sweets in the evenings only whilst I’m away, I’m sure I read once that as long as it’s just sugar with no fat it’s not so bad as eating chocolate. Yeah I know I should have fruit right… hmmm nah!

From tomorrow I am going to be starting a weekly feature… It’s going to be called ‘follow on Friday’ and the idea is it will link back to a previous post. It will basically be my on-going soap box/mini rant day. I will also be introducing a ‘Neigh Day’ post I’m not sure which day this will be yet. It will be where I can try and share all the equine information I have learnt that week.
