Just do it… Either get on with losing weight or just do the things we enjoy, if only we could stop focusing on the negatives we might actually have more positives in our lives.
I watched the last episode of Claire Richards show last night. The food I’ve seen her eat over the past few weeks hasnt been too dissimilar to what I’ve eaten over the past twenty years.
Luckily Horatio’s diet has been supplemented by his nursery who were very keen on rice cakes and lentil stew. And he is naturally partial to fruit and veg.
So since we’ve been eating more meals with him we make more of an effort to have a variety of fresh cooked meals.
Where as before if we werent eating out or having takeaway, you would of found me down the ready meal section… Yes I think there was one point when I had tried everything in the tesco finest range.
Even the veg was bought ready done in some kind of creamy sauce. Oh and of course you had to have a dessert. Which came in two’s and I would usually end up eating both.
By making small changes to the way I cooked over the past year has been the biggest influence on my weight loss. I dont mean I cook in low-fat or anything like that.
I cook the similar stuff but I add more vegetables and we cook at home MORE. Meals out are lovely but too many like I had helped my weight balloon to over 25st.
Not to mention its also easier on the old purse strings.
The other biggest thing is letting the diet mentality go… Claire kind of brushed on this last night when she said she wasnt eating everything in sight.
We do this because we are all concinced its our last day of excess and tomorrow we will be dieters. But when we fail before we even start we go through the process all over again.
As soon as you let go of that process I gaurantee you will lose weight.
