When being particularly bad, to pull me out of it I start doing what I call the numbers game… how many pounds do I want to lose by what date, or I pick a date and use a site called www.jarusa.com to work out how many days it is. I then work on the assumption that if I lose a pound a day I will be at my goal weight to ride Nas in about 50days. Yes I hear you losing a pound a day isn’t recommended 2lb a week is what we should aim for (have you seen the biggest loser). Don’t worry, it’s all a futile attempt, if I had ever manage to accomplish any of these goals I wouldn’t be sitting here.
Just for entertainment I will take you through the one I came up with last week… Halloween is the next big thing for me, I love it and especially now I have horatio. Halloween weekend is usually a very busy time with a party for the adults and one for the kids. Yes we have loads of chocolate and as Horatio likes to say at the moment ‘candy’. So I worked out it was 47 days to go. (I also found out it was 99days until Christmas woo hood- that is a whole other blog). I then worked out 3stone is 42lb and as you might of read recently my weight was up to 356, if I lose 42lb then I wont be far from riding Nas ideally i want to be below 300 when I do start riding him. This would have all been great if I had actually been good and not made cupcakes and cheese scones this weekend.
We had a really lazy weekend apart from a trip out on Saturday, we spent the rest of the time milling around the house in pyjama’s the dogs didn’t even get a walk. I do think that we needed it to be honest I know we was away last weekend, but we don’t stop when we are away not with a 3yr old. We are still up at 6am everyday and still spend all day keeping him amused which usually involves days at the Zoo, Theme parks etc. I think that is another contributor to my black mood last week. As much as I want to ride Nas I also want to go on the rides with Horatio, we did go in a boat at bewilderwood and I nearly capsized it. Generally though I am the photographer.
As you are probably beginning to realise, I am an emotional eater. Good or bad mood I will eat. If I’m tired or excited I will eat. If it’s hot or cold I will eat.
