I bought the horses in yesterday afternoon so they could have a break from the sun and to let Spirit have some time off from her muzzle.

So I left them in while I picked Steve up. Purposely thinking spirit could do with a break from pigging on the grass. Her belly is massive even with the grazing muzzle on I’d hate to think how big it would be without.

So despite me making sure I had secured her stable, the little cowbag managed to escape. I don’t think she had been out long -usually she leaves a trail of droppings. she was making a good job of the weeds though.

So I’m thinking this morning I will let her have a wander around the yard without her muzzle on. I hate her having to wear it all the time. Plus there isn’t actually that much out there with both of them so hopefully it will act as a bit of a starvation paddock.

On another plus note she hasn’t coughed and her breathing is getting better. She’s also stopped that incessant gulping/jawing she was doing, Nas did the same when he was first ill.

Oh and I haven’t heard him cough either. Hopefully he’s turned the corner and is now on the mend.
